Dr. Spalten attended Alamo Heights high school before graduating with honors from Southern Methodist University with Pre-Med and Business degrees and was a member and officer of Phi Delta Theta
He then attended UTHSC of San Antonio earning his DDS while also pursuing advanced residencies. He was a member of Alpha Omega Academic fraternity.
Dr. Spalten began delivering excellent and uncompromising care to his patients in 1980. He has maintained an incredible desire to keep up with the newest, most innovative, and advanced procedures and techniques in order to provide unparrelled excellence in the community. His attention to detail in both function and beauty is extraordinary.
He has trained extensively in advanced procedures including Invisalign, (attaining Premier Provider status), Implantlogy, sedation dentistry, and world class cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Spalten is a member of many dental organizations including the ADA, TDA, SADDS, Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and others.
He is extremely active in charitable, civic, and organizations with a broad scope in the community. Dr. Spalten has served on many boards including Alamo Kiwanis Children's service, Children's Shelter, Bank of San Antonio, Sambo Muir Scholarship Fund. He is active in other organizations including The Texas Cavaliers, Order of the Alamo, German Club, Town Club, Golden Circle, Southwest Foundation, San Antonio Country Club, The Argyle, Texas Wildlife Association, Texas cattle Breeders Association and others.
He is the proud father of three exceptional children, Analise, Alan and Jonathan and has a beautiful and supportive wife Gretchen.
